The Technological Economy: State by State

Massachusetts, Washington, Maryland, Connecticut and New Social MediaJersey top the list of states at the forefront of the nation’s movement toward a global, innovative and technologically driven economy, according to the 2010 State New Economy Index.

The bottom five states were unchanged from 2008, with Mississippi and West Virginia lagging the most with the transition to a technologically driven economy. The other lowest-scoring states include Arkansas, Alabama and Wyoming.
