The Nature of Thanksgiving Turkey

I would assume that a majority of Americans will be eating turkey at some point througTurkey Timehout the day, although do you know where your turkey originated from? Learn more about the production of this traditional Thanksgiving meat and share your knowledge with friends and family. They may or may not care, but consider giving it a try nonetheless.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Minnesota is the top turkey-producing state in America, with a planned production total of 45.5 million last year. Just six states: Minnesota, North Carolina, Missouri, Virginia and California—will more than likely produce two-thirds of the estimated 2750 million birds that will be raised in the U.S. this year.
